Upcocoat

Upcocoat® is a texturized release polyester film with an acrylic transfer coating. The EB cured coating is transferred onto the receiving substrate - typically melamine - while the textured PET is peeled off. The result is a surface with highly functional properties surface such as anti-scratch, anti-fingerprint, velvet touch, UV blocking and others according to client requirements. Customized patterns with DuoGloss technology are available.
Upcocoat® ‘s transparency, flatness, humidity resistance and high bonding guarantee easy handling and maximum efficiency in any lamination process.
Upcocoat® is compatible with a vast range of melamine resins and glues and designed to becoming the surface of laminates, lacquered boards and surfaces on HDF, MDF and particle boards, and any other materials where a special surface finishing is required. This specific coating gives the laminate various functions such as: scratch resistance, anti-fingerprint properties, resistance to acids and complies with the certifications required on the market. The coating is transferred from its PET carrier via a pressing or laminating process.
Using Upcocoat® Duogloss as a support, Upcocoat® is now able to combine design possibilities with its functional properties.

The Upcocoat® product range now includes an ECO version containing 70% recycled PET (rPET) coming from post-consumer recycling of plastic waste material (plastic bottles, food trays, etc.). Upcocoat® ECO products have the same guaranteed final features and performance as standard Upco® products.
